Tick what your job actually involves. The law names eighteen kinds of high risk construction work - if your job hits even one, a SWMS must be prepared before the work starts.
It is not a form you file. A SWMS must identify the high risk construction work, describe the hazards and risks, describe the control measures following the hierarchy of controls, and describe how those controls are implemented, monitored and reviewed.
It has to be prepared in consultation with the workers doing the work, be kept and followed on site, and be reviewed when anything changes. Work must stop if it is not being followed.

This tool reflects the eighteen high risk construction work categories in the model WHS Regulations, which most Australian jurisdictions have adopted. It is general information to help you ask the right question - it is not legal advice, and it does not replace reading the regulation that applies where you work. If the answer matters, check it with your regulator or a WHS professional.
