RFI builder
Every job has RFIs sitting with a consultant, quietly becoming your delay. An RFI without a date, a chase trail and a stated impact is worth almost nothing when that delay gets argued six months later. This builds one that holds.
Why most RFIs are worth nothing later
An RFI that says “please clarify the slab detail” and nothing else tells a future reader nothing. The three things that matter are the date it was asked, the dates it was chased, and what work it is holding up. Without those you have a question. With them you have a record that shows a consultant sat on an answer for nine days while a work front stood still. That is the difference between a delay you wear and a delay you claim.
Questions
Does this create an entitlement to time or money?
No. It creates a record. Entitlement comes from your contract, and most contracts have strict notice requirements and short time bars. Check them and give any notice the contract requires separately.
How often should I chase?
Often enough that the record shows you did not sit on it either. A chase every few days, dated and recorded, removes the argument that you contributed to the delay.
What makes an RFI strong?
A clear question, one subject, the drawing or specification reference, the date an answer is needed by, what is affected if it is late, and a dated chase trail. The tool checks for all of these.
Is anything uploaded?
No. It stays in your browser on your device.

One RFI is a form. A hundred RFIs is a system.
The Obras RFI register carries every question, every chase and every answer against the drawing it relates to — so at the end of the job the trail already exists rather than being reconstructed.
