What’s blocking my job?

Pick what you are trying to do. You get the checks that actually apply to it, a Green / Amber / Red answer, and the name of whoever has to clear whatever is outstanding. Nobody else in this market gives you an answer — they give you a blank form.

What are you trying to do?

Pouring concrete? That has its own tool — pour readiness, or floor readiness for a whole high-rise deck.

This is not an approval. A green result means nothing on this list is outstanding — it is not a sign-off, a permit or a legal determination, and this tool cannot see your site. These are the controls commonly applied to this activity, not a complete list for your job. The decision to proceed belongs to the competent person responsible for the work.

Why this is not another checklist

Every template site in the country will give you a blank form for these activities. A form is useful for the record, and useless at 6am. The question on site is never “have I filled in the sheet” — it is what is outstanding, and who do I ring about it. That is what this answers, and it is the same question the paid Obras system answers continuously across every work front on the job.

Questions

Does a green result mean the work is safe or approved?

No. It means nothing on this list is outstanding. It is not an approval, a permit or a legal determination, and it cannot see your site. The decision belongs to the competent person responsible for the work.

How do you know these are the right checks?

They are the controls commonly applied to each activity on Australian sites. They are a starting point for a conversation, not a complete list for your job — your SWMS, your site and your principal contractor may all require more.

Is my activity high risk construction work?

Each activity carries a note on how it is generally treated, but that is not a determination for your job — and Victoria runs different regulations from the model WHS states. Use the HRCW checker and confirm against your own jurisdiction.

Where is the concrete pour?

It has its own tool, because it needs eighteen checks rather than nine. See the pour readiness checker, or floor readiness for a whole high-rise deck.

Do you store my answers?

No. They stay in your browser on your device and nothing is sent to us.

The paid system runs these gates continuously across every work front, reads them off the QR band on the document itself, and rolls the lot into one board that says whether the job can run today.
